WINEMAKER’S NOTE
Bright ruby hue with youthful vibrancy. The bouquet reveals red fruit with smoky undertones, followed by blackberry, plum, and hints of dark chocolate. A polished structure with soft tannins and restrained oak offers finesse and drinkability.
FOOD PARTNERS
The 2023 vintage complements chargrilled lamb cutlets or ostrich medallions with a herb crust, as well as smoked duck breast or free-range chicken roulade served with a berry glaze or light jus. Its red fruit and fine acidity pair well with roasted aubergine and lentil terrine or beetroot carpaccio topped with goat’s cheese. The vintage also suits seared tuna or line fish, especially when paired with earthy accompaniments such as celeriac purée. For cheese, consider mature hard cheeses with a slightly sharp edge, mild goat’s milk cheeses, or creamy natural-rind styles.
