TASTING NOTES
A deep, garnet-red hue introduces a layered bouquet of blackberry, mulberry, and black cherry, interwoven with herbal nuances of thyme and buchu. The palate opens with vibrant notes of red fruits, seamlessly layered with savoury undertones of cedar and spice. This expressive fruit core is carried by a smooth structure, where rounded, ultra-fine tannins lend elegance and poise. Secondary characteristics are confidently revealed, adding depth and sophistication through savoury complexity and umami richness, and culminating in a vibrant, spicy finish that lingers with finesse.
FOOD SUGGESTIONS
Pizza with all its various toppings (but not too much chilli), all traditionally prepared meat dishes (i.e., stews and grills), grilled or roasted game fish (ideally without a lemon-based sauce) or for pudding. Pears in red wine will find a partner in this versatile wine.
